Niseko United
Niseko is made up of 4 interconnected resorts. The groomers in Niseko are long and offer fantastic views of Mt Yotei. Coupled with plenty of off piste powder and excellent tree skiing terrain on offer for those looking to ski in the trees or powder for the first time or challenge themselves further. Niseko has it all, a great resort to explore from December until early May with fantastic restaurants and cafes on or just off the slopes.
Rusutsu
Rusutsu can be found just 40mins drive from Niseko. The terrain on offer across Mt Isola, East and West Mountain is perfect for first time skiers or snowboarders to those wanting to take on the many long tree lined groomers or head off into the well spaced tree glades for some fun. If you want to experience the trees or powder for the first time or progress your level then Rusutsu is ideal. With excellent views of Mt Shiribetsu, Mt Yotei, Lake Toya and the Pacific Ocean on a clear day & plenty of Japanese character, it’s a real favourite among locals.
Sapporo Kokusai
Located past Kiroro and with magnificent views back over Otaru and the Sea of Japan on a clear day, Kokusai has some of the best groomed/ learning terrain around. Amazing long groomed runs to satisfy all levels with tree skiing to match. A favourite for Sapporo and Otaru locals, it’s an ideal resort to improve your technique.
Asari
Nestled down the valley from Kokusai, Asari is a real local Japanese ski resort. Protected by the surrounding mountains from the wind and providing excellent teaching terrain and beautiful views stretching over the Sea of Japan. Added to that, Asari is part of Asarigawa Onsen Village, the perfect place to relax in one of the many onses after a day on the slopes.
Otaru Tenguyama
Located above the town of Otaru, Tenguyama offers excellent terrain for all abilities with amazing views on fine days across Otaru and the bay to the mountains in the distance. Most weekdays it will feel like your own private ski resort.
Moiwa
A great little resort close to Niseko that offers good beginner to intermediate friendly terrain with wide groomers. Moiwa is also known to be a little powder haven around Niseko for those wanting to get a little deeper in the powder. Close to the base of Moiwa are some of the best onsens in the Niseko area, which is a great way to end the day. It is even possible to ski to and from Niseko resorts, but a different lift pass is required.
NISEKO UNITED PRIVATE LESSONS
- Expect a pick-up that suits from your accommodation and drop-off at 4-5pm
- Depending on the group’s ability we will move around the Niseko United area exploring the best of Niseko while improving your technique. However if your group just wants to be shown around one area or concentrate on specific improvements that’s fine too. By and large we are guided by your ability and fitness and will match terrain choice, technique improvements and drills to these attributes and the conditions.

- Depending on the group’s ability we will move around the Niseko United area exploring the best of Niseko while improving your technique. By and large we are guided by your ability and fitness and will match terrain choice, technique improvements and drills to these attributes and the conditions.
When booking this service you are getting:
- Your own qualified and experienced instructor. This means you can have one person or up to four in the group. The fee remains the same so the more people you have the cheaper per person it becomes.
- Base area accommodation pick-up and drop-off and transportation to the ski area. Usually you will have private transportation, but if we have another group heading to the same ski are that day you may need to share. We don’t want to add any more carbon than necessary to the atmosphere.
- Note: extra charges may apply for transportation from areas outside of Niseko
Extra transportation charges
Niseko area (outside of Hirafu and immediate surrounds) requires approximately one hour extra travel – client pays ¥10,000 extra. For example picking up in Rusutsu and taking to Kiroro.
Things to remember:
- This is a private booking. You will only have those in the group that you yourself have booked. If it’s you and your three friends then that’s who’s in the group. If it is just you then awesome. You book and we instruct – no blow-ins.
- Mixing skiers and snowboarders – Not something we do for private lessons. Whilst some of our instructors are qualified for both it is not possible to deliver a professional instructional lesson with a mixture of skiers and snowboarders.
- Our private lessons are that and not a Whiteroom Guided day. If your desire is to access terrain outside the resort boundaries into uncontrolled terrain you need to alternatively book a Whiteroom Guided day with one of our professionally accredited Whiteroom Guides.
